What Bylogged is
Bylogged is a personal reading tracker. The Chrome extension detects articles you read and logs them to your private account. The website lets you view your reading history, stats, highlights, and notes.
What data we collect
- The URL, title, domain, and estimated word count of articles you read
- The date and time you read each article
- Ratings, notes, and highlights you choose to save
- Your email address, used to create and identify your account
What we do not collect
- The full text or content of articles you read
- Any data from pages on the blocklist (social media, search engines, email, video, shopping, etc.)
- Browsing history beyond articles you actively read for 30+ seconds
- Any personal information beyond your email address
How your data is stored
All data is stored in your private Supabase database and is only accessible to your account. We do not sell, share, or use your reading data for any purpose other than showing it back to you.
Topic tagging
If you enable topic tagging in Settings, a short excerpt from each article (up to 1,500 characters) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate topic tags. This excerpt is not stored by us and is subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual articles from the History page, or delete all your data at once from the extension Settings page. To delete your account entirely, contact us.
